Americans are stepping up to help the victims of the earthquake in Haiti. How is your school discussing this event with students? Are there any plans for fundraising, food drives, etc. in your school community?
My second graders are geniunely concerned and passionate about helping out the people of Haiti. We are still organizing and researching ways to help. We'll post again soon about our decision.
Ms. Christensen, our Professor of Dance, started a "penny a day" drive for Haiti. Every room has a glass jug in it for change. Each student is encouraged to put in a penny every day, as that is the least we can do. People are starting to put in their leftover change from lunches or what they have in their pockets. Every little bit helps! Rachelle from Concord Boyne
